Mischa Rozema brings Xbox & Fanta together in “Wanta Fanta?”
For 'Wanta Fanta?', director Mischa Rozema worked with Riff Raff to bring together two global brands, Xbox and Fanta. The spot combines some of gaming's coolest and darkest characters with the joyful world of Fanta, a brief Rozema approached with the scale and ambition of a feature film.
Much of the film's grounded, believable feel comes from shooting on a New York-style standing set, anchoring the CGI elements in real, physical visuals. Rozema wanted to solve as much as possible in camera rather than leaning on post-production, keeping the film from feeling too much like a game given that the main characters were already digital. The result is a visually kinetic spot that balances dark, high-stakes storytelling with the sparkling energy the brand called for.
